The FBI is warning people about new scams involving the use of QR Codes. Although these types of scams are not as common as other fraudulent schemes, it is still important to know what they are and how they are being used. The new scheme described by the FBI involves the fraudsters sending random packages with no sender information to entice the person receiving the package to scan the QR code. Scanning the QR code opens the door to communicating with the fraudsters and giving them the opportunity to steal personal information. (Full Article)
